Kristin Fisher was hired by CNN on July 20, 2021 as Space and Defense Correspondent. As a correspondent she will cover everything from NASA as well as the new Space Force, to commercial companies in space and the rise to space tourism. Kristin, her mother was one of NASA astronauts and a space enthusiast has spent her entire childhood within the space industry. She served for five years in the position of White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy during the Biden and Trump administrations. In that time she covered the presidential 2020 campaign, two impeachment trials and two attempts to prevent the pandemic coronavirus, in addition to two distinct administrations' efforts. Kristin was on the road extensively, including both the president and vice-president. She was even on an extremely secret trip to Afghanistan together with Donald Trump. Prior to joining the network in 2015, Kristin spent nearly a decade advancing through the local news channels in Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she received an Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Utilizing her expertise in front of the camera Kristin established Field Mouse Films in 2014, which was a specialist in documentary style films for corporate clients including Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has a Bachelor in Science in Journalism which she obtained from Boston University. Kristin is married with a daughter, and her three-year-old son in Washington, D.C.
